A table set for a dinner party

Personal Chef in Wake Forest, NC

Wake Forest is at the north end of Wake County. The college that took its name started here, and the old downtown is still the heart of town. A lot of the newer neighborhoods are full of people commuting south every day.

Our chefs come to you. Weekly meal prep in your kitchen, or a dinner party at home so you can host without spending the day at the stove.

The Travelling Cafe is a collective of personal and private chefs based in Chapel Hill and cooking across the Triangle and beyond.

Life in Wake Forest

Wake Forest is where Wake Forest College began, before it moved to Winston-Salem in the 1950s. The old campus is now Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the historic downtown is full of galleries, shops and restaurants, including Shorty’s, which has served hot dogs there since 1916. Falls Lake is close by.

It is a town that likes to linger over a meal, and we cook so you can do that at home.

What we cook in Wake Forest

Lamb chops portioned for meal prep

Hosting is a big part of life in Wake Forest: holidays, neighbors, family who come in from out of town. Our chef plans the menu with you, cooks and serves in your kitchen, and cleans up, so you get to sit at your own table.

Weekly meal prep. A chef comes to your Wake Forest kitchen once a week, shops, cooks a week of meals to your plan, labels everything and cleans up. One all-in price. Groceries are included.

Dinner parties. Gather your friends at home. We plan the menu with you, then cook, serve and clean up, so you get to sit down too.

Private cooking classes. A private class for you and a few friends, in your own kitchen.

Special diets. We cook to the plan your clinician or dietitian set, for GLP-1, AIP, low-FODMAP, diabetic, paleo, keto, athletes and more. Every dietary need, same price. See all the special diets we cook.
